Automobile styles and designs. part 1

1.  SUV- Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV s) have existed since the 1930s but experienced explosive popularity during the mid-1990s.  Built on a truck frame, SUVs harnesses utility attributes and powerful engine performance. One of the first popular SUVs in the United States was the Jeep originally conceived based on a demand for a four-wheel drive vehicle during World War II.

2.  Truck-  Trucks or pickup trucks are the workhorses of the auto industry. Found with an open, flat bed for hauling a variety of cargo, pickup trucks can be fitted with three cabin options. If looking at a truck, choosing the right kind for a specific lifestyle can prove very difficult. It’s wise for a buyer to seriously realize their needs and not purchase a truck that may be too limited or excessive in capacity.

3. Sedan-   A long-running and popular body style among car buyers around the world, the sedan adapts nicely to almost any automotive lifestyle. Whether you are a single person or part of a family of five, a sedan provides several useful features such as four doors and a separate trunk storage area. Sedans are unofficially classified under the category family sedan, sports sedan or luxury sedan.

4.  Sport-  Rarely practical, sports cars are intent to create an atmosphere of fun for the driver on the streets or possibly on the race track. On-road performers, sports cars do not adhere stringently to any specific body style criteria allowing a driver to decide on a vehicle matching their individual tastes and lifestyle. Sport cars can be built using coupe, convertible as well as sedan body styles.

5.  luxury- A luxury car is considered the peak of driving comfort and aspires to provide the most rewarding sensation of motoring. Based on the oddity and expense of early automobiles, the luxury car category was actually one of the first vehicle types established. One key element of a luxury car is their higher cost to conventional automobiles. Brand prestige, but also technology causes the price of luxury cars to be greater. Due to the advance in technology, many automotive features first appear on luxury cars prior to being fully implemented for the mass market. Electric starter, air conditioning and HID headlights are some items that were introduced on luxury cars over decades.

Don't overlook automotive technology as a high-tech career path. Part 2 and 3

NATEF- (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) The purpose of the NATEF is to improve the training programs for students who intend to go into the automotive technician industry. They compare training programs to the standards established by the industry

SGS- The purpose of the SGS is to help you: Reduce costs and delivery lead-times, improve build quality and efficiency, Manage your supply chain at every stage, Confirm your ability to provide safe and reliable vehicles, Improve your aftermarket and distribution operations, Increase safety and reduce the environmental impact of road traffic

ASE- (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) they work to improve the quality of vehicle repair

1. The career I would like the most is a race car driver because I think it would be fun and it would be thrilling. The career I probably wouldn't like the most is the car designer because i'm not good at drawing or designing.

Don't overlook automotive technology as a high-tech career path.

1.  Some high-tech on automobiles that were not around 30 years ago are rear view cameras, Bluetooth, blind spot protection warnings, aux, etc.

2. Areas where young people should have skills for a career for a automotive technician is math, science and communications.

3.  Some advantages in obtaining an education as a automotive technician because the industry is expected to add 237,500 new jobs.

4.  There are expected to add 237,500 new jobs and have a 30 percent up to 2020.

5.  The automotive technician career is immune too computer programming, customer call-center work, and accounting services.

6.  Four other positions that a automotive technician can do are  collision repair, painting, and damage estimating and vehicle maintenance.

7.  It is called a portal career because  many people have started their careers in the automotive aftermarket as an auto technician that it is viewed as something of a portal career.

1.  One aspect of being an automotive technician that I think I would enjoy, is learning how to work on my own vehicle so I could save money by doing it myself.

2.  It was interesting that we can do an apprenticeship while we're in collage and get paid while we do it. So we can earn while we learn.

3.  It is a life-long learning job because automobile technology changes every year and it is important because you have to learn about the new stuff in cars.

4.  Some skills people should have when entering the career as a automotive technician is communication skills, should be reliable, and the should be have skills in hands on work.

Tech for The Sake of Tech?

1. I did find it surprising that people between the ages of 21-38 did not care about smart phone connectivity in their automobiles because as a younger generation I thought they would want i phone connectivity. My generation would not feel the same about the option, they would feel that it is a beneficial option because of hands free calling, Bluetooth, etc.

2.  I think the dangers of texting and driving will be the same because when you get distracted in your phone you will miss the warning of the blind spot detector and will still have the same risk of being in a accident.

3. The technologies on new cars are semi important o my family because it does offer stuff that will help you drive.

4.  One technological feature I would look for in a car is a back up camera because i'm not that good at backing up.

5. One new feature was the self parking car. In the past we had the self parking car which some people found unnecessary or useless.

Technologies in Development

1. We think the flying car is way less likely to happen because it was just an idea and way made using a 3D printer.

2. The self driving car is likely to have the biggest impact on society because it could prevent accidents from happening and could save many lives. It could also prevent people from getting lost.

3. The self driving car is already somewhat a part of our everyday lives because we already have self parking cars

4. The Ford's ''Driver workload Estimator'' could keep drivers and passengers safe because it reduces stress of the driver making the driver more focused on the road.

5. My thoughts on the flying cars, its a good idea but I think there are possible dangers like crashing.

6.I think the self driving cars have its pros and cons. some pros are less accidents and less human error. some cons are that it could screw up and crash and it will strip people the knowledge of driving.

Ford model T

1. The Model-T Ford took one tenth the time it took to make any other automobile of it's time

2. The Model T was introduced in 1909, and costed 9 50$

3. He payed the workers 5$, which was a lot more than what other jobs would pay around that time. He reduced their hours from 9 to 8 hours, which allowed him to have 3 shifts going at once so he could make cars around the clock.

4. The Model T's were 20 horsepower.

5. 3 body styles were the touring car, roadster, and roadster pickup.

6. Almost 15 and a half million Model T's were built.

7.  You started the Model-T by a hand crank and it was fairly easy to start.

8. It was made to handle a bunch of different roads because cities were just starting up so the roads were often terrible so they had to be made to handle good roads, bad roads, and no roads.

Toon Town photo bomb.

1)  I picked a scene from Gravity Falls where a Gnome is puking a rainbow. I picked scene because I thought it was a funny scene.

2)  I placed Guy Fieri in the scene because it looks funny and its flavor town.

3)  I probably wouldn't want a career in film or documentary industry because it doesn't really appeal to me.

4)  Link to photos I used:

Be true to your school.

1)  The design represents out school because it uses our school mascot.

2)  The most challenging part was trying to fit it on the bus. The easiest part was painting the bus.

3)  I don't really have any interest in it because its not something that interest  me.

4)  I would not want to work at auto detailing job because its not really something i'm good at.

Freak of Nature

1) I selected the animals I did because I thought they would look good and funny together.

2) The part that was most challenging was cropping the pugs head on the bears body. The part i found the easiest was finding the photos.

3) Outta 10, I would probably rate a 7.5/10 of realistic looking.

4) I never used photo editing before.

The five techniques.

1)  Rule of Thirds- Applied by aligning a subject with the guide lines and their intersection points, placing the horizon on the top or bottom line, or allowing linear features in the image to flow from section to section.

2)  Fill the frame- The frame refers to the edges of your photograph or the edges of the viewfinder of your camera when you are shooting.

3)  To encompass or surround your subject with other elements.

4)  Point of view- t is told from the perspective of "you". Third Person Point Of View: Third person POV is used when your narrator is not a character in the story.

5)  Level horizon-  Placing the Horizon Line. In outdoor photography, where you place the horizon line in your frame has a powerful effect on how your compositions are interpreted.

Camera Techniques.

1)  I think filling the frame is important because it focuses on one person or object instead on multiple making it less cluster in the picture.

2)  Two things I learned were a lot of people take pictures wrong and hold your camera level.

3)  The part I liked best was about the framing.

4)  What I found confusing was the part about the rule of thirds.

5) I would like to learn more about level horizon.

Digital Awareness Campaign.

1)  My target audience is all people that have any type of social media account that has a password in order to get in.

2)  The issue is people not using safe and secured passwords and as a result it is easy access for hackers.

3)  The call of action is people not using safe and secured passwords and getting hacked as a result.

4)  The effectiveness of the image I used was a shady looking gut because and hacker could be anyone even someone you know

Digital Law

1)  The most surprising I found out abut this unit was that there is a lot more law for the internet than I thought.

2)  I found that NeedHelpNow.ca a little confusing because of the way it was set up.

3)  I think the videos about copyright, fair dealing, public domain and creative common were pretty easy to understand and got their point across clearly.

4) NeedHelpNow.ca is a helpful website. It is a good resource for young people looking for information or help on cyber bullying because it has good tips and tricks.

5)  The biggest issue for young people when it comes to copyright is that they don't give credit to the original creator.

6)  The Biggest issue for young people when it comes cyber-bullying and/or privacy is that they don't think twice when the post things online

Digital Access

1)  I think it is a basic human right because mostly every thing we do know is online.

2)  I think there is enough public places that have internet because every store I go to has WiFi.

3)  I do get concerned abut my privacy when I share information online because I don't know who can see it. I can change my settings on private on social media.

4)  I do worry that what I posted on the internet when I was younger could come back and haunt me because I was pretty annoying when I was younger.

5)  The biggest issue for young people when it comes to digital access and privacy is they don't update their phones when they're supposed to and the use free WiFi from places.

Digital Business

1)  What I found most surprising about digital business is that online stores don't have as good as a return policy as I thought.

2)  I had heard of Paypal before. Paypal is an American company operating a worldwide online payments system that supports online money transfers and serves as an electronic alternative to traditional paper methods like checks and money orders.

3)  I did order stuff online and I was for most part pretty happy but one time I ordered BB's for my air soft gun and they never came but they charged me for them.

4)  I never sold anything online but my brother has and it was a positive experience.

5)  The biggest issue for young people when it comes to online shopping is that they don't check the website the buy from and in the getting ripped of or scammed.

Digital Wellness

1)  I do consider sometimes how technology can have a negative effect on my wellness and health because when I stare at a screen for along time I get a head ache. Also sometimes Id rather use technology then go outside so its making me less active.

2)  Some activities I do to step away from technology is to go four wheeling with my buds and go hunting with my dad.

3)  The biggest issue for young people when it comes to digital wellness is that they spend to much time on technology and not enough time outside.

Digital Etiquette

 1) What I found most surprising about Digital Etiquette was that people sign up for stuff without reading the terms and conditions.

2)  I don't think internet users concern themselves with the terms and conditions when joining a site. They should be concern about the terms and conditions because they might be signing up for something they don't want to do or they could easily break a rule because they never read the terms and conditions.

3)  I would probably rate myself 8/10 for behaving appropriately online because I do swear and cuss sometimes online.

4)  One thing I can do to behave better online is to stop swearing.

5)  I think the biggest issue online with young people is that they don't read the terms and conditions when signing up for an app or online service.

Digital rights and Responsibility's

1)  What I found most surprising about digital rights and responsibility's was that most often people use technology for bad rather than good.

2)  I don't think most people don't act responsible online because they is a lot of stories on the news that people cyberbully.

3)  The commandment that I think is the most important is number 7; thou shall be a model and teach other people expectations of technology use. I think this is the most important because if you teach other people the right way to use technology, there a lesser chance of cyber-bullying, sexting, identity theft, etc.

4)  The biggest issue of digital rights and responsibility's among young people is that they abuse their rights and use technology for bad things such as cyber-bullying.

Digital communication assignment

1) What I found most surprising about digital communication is that if you don't answer your e-mail within a week it is considered rude. I found this surprising because it doesn't seem rude but it is.

2) I do think we overuse our smart phone because there are so many ways to communicate but instead we use our smart phones.

3)   Cc means carbon copy and Bcc means blind carbon copy. For emailing, you use Cc when you want to copy others publicly, and Bcc when you want to do it privately.

4)   What I think the most important thing for young people to consider when using digital communication is use it responsibly and don't just use digital communication use other forms of communication as well.

passwords and digital security assignment

1)What I found most surprising about digital security and creating passwords was that some hackers and criminals sometimes use computers that can guess your password in less than a nanosecond.

2)When i created a password for the site it told me that it would take a computer a trillion years to guess the password.

3)I don't think my password isn't that secure because i put it into the same site and it said it would take a computer a minute the guess my password.

4)Some features that Keepass offers to help manage your passwords are you can put all your passwords in one database.

5)What I think the most important things when considering passwords and digital security is making good and secure passwords and not telling anybody my passwords.

Today in BBT i downloaded 2 apps. The first one that i downloaded was chess. chess is one of my favorite games games to play so i wanted to try it on the computer. Overall i liked it and i think other people did with its 3 star review. The second one I downloaded was real time cube. Its still the classic brain buster but on screen. Its still as good as the original rubrics cube says the 3 star review.
